What are Sustainable Development Goals?

Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, are long-term development guidelines for the period from 2015 to 2030 adopted unanimously by member states at the UN Summit in September 2015. They are the successor to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) established in 2001.
The SDGs consist of 17 goals and 169 targets. They aim to realize a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society that leaves no one behind.
